NOW RECRUITING NEW MEMBERS ANY AGE ANY ABILITY

Norton Hockey Club is based in the North East of England & is part of the Norton (Teesside) Sports complex.

We were established in 1891 and have been a successful club ever since - presently boasting 3 Senior Men's Teams, 2 Ladies Teams, Mixed Team, Indoor side & Junior and Veteran sides.

Our Hockey Club is very keen to promote hockey to all age groups - Junior training is provided on a Tuesday evening (Boys) Wednesday evening (Girls) with qualified coaches, see below for training times.

Ladies 1sts League CHAMPIONS

Norton Ladies win the league by beating 3rd place Darlington 5-0 to claim their 3rd trophy so far this season. After a hard fought season the ladies won the league by several points with some great team performances & dedication by the all the players. WELL DONE to Alison Innerd & her team let's keep it going!!

Norton Ladies beat Hartlepool Caledonians 5-1 to lift the Plate!! Norton went down to 10 ladies early on in the game when Louise Smith got a head injury & after a fight back they eased to victory in extra time.Well Done Everyone a great achievement!!

TEES ROWING CLUB

On behalf of all involved with the rowing, we would like to thank Tees Rowing Club for use of their facilities and equipment and special thanks to the volunteers who have given up their time to help us train.

Mens team come 2nd in Summer league

The summer league was a great success with Norton concentrating on playing junior members who rose to the challenge with an Impressive 2nd place playing against full strength 1st teams from other clubs

NEW Ladies 1st Team Captain

Alison Innerd has now taken on the prestigous role of Ladies 1st team captain! The club wishes her all the best in the new role & has the full support from the whole club

NORTON's CLUB DAY 26th July

Everyone had a fantastic day with a BBQ & also playing various games on grass ending with Norton Legends v 1st Team game

CHAMPIONS !!!!!!!!! - MEN's 1st Team WIN the League 2008/09

The 1st Team beat fellow promotion chasers Morpeth 1sts 2-1 in an all action game to win the league & promotion

WELL DONE EVERYONE !!!!!!!!

NORTON ACCREDITED WITH CLUBSFIRST AWARD !!!!!!

Norton Hockey Club has now officially been accredited with England Hockey's ClubsFirst Award. Norton is the only mixed club in the area to have received this award and has gone through rigorous checks by England Hockey to ensure that all the policies & procedures are in place to protect all juniors and to give parents total confidence that their child is safe while under the supervision of Norton’s officials. This re-enforces Nortons position as a strong family orientated club - well done everyone!
